It was a wet rainy Sunday when I got the news that you'd passed. I had mixed emotions .. Happy because I know how much you would have suffered and would be at peace and no more pain. Sad, because the world has lost a great man whom I've always known to have the biggest heart. Your kindness and generosity I know has touched many, many people on this side of the world ... Singapore. Growing up, we had our fair share of wonderful toys, nice clothes and ate at many nice places. You took us all along the many places that you went. As a young boy, the biggest journey and experience was when we went up to Tioman and Desaru for your diving trips. The drives up were long, for hours at a time and we were all packed like sardines in the back of your white Ford sedan. It was really fun, hearing you curse at the slow drivers and all. Those were truly memorable events for me. You were all things USA ... the epitome of a true blue Texan and an American. You had a sharp tongue and spoke your mind ... Of the few times you spoke, you always made us laugh with your jokes, sometimes unknowingly. Your work took you to many places and also provided you with many blessings that you were never afraid to share with the many around you. You were always with a cup of coffee and your pack of Marlboro Reds. I am sure you are somewhere out there now ... with Randy having that cup of coffee and a stick and enjoying yourselves .... Thank you from the bottom of my heart Uncle Larry for everything that you did ... for being a part of my life. You will be missed.
