Lucia A. Lopez, 88, of Snyder, passed away on February 20, 2016.
A rosary service will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Miller Family Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Burial will follow in the Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lucia was born December 15, 1927 in Claremont, TX to Rafael and Alberta (Herrera) Alvarado. She resided at Snyder Oaks Care Center for the last 1 1/2 years along with her husband of 45 years.
Lucia worked at a nursing home in Rotan as a nursed aid and then became a Dietary Supervision for several years before moving to Snyder. When she married Jose A. Lopez on January 29, 1971, she volunteered in many places. Mrs. Lopez was a member of the Guadalupanas at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
She will forever be missed by many who knew her.

She is preceded by death; her parents
one son Mario Martinez, one grandson Ricky Lee Salazar and two son-in-laws, Andrew Rodriguez and Johnny Suarez.
