Mrs. Wanda Bernice Griffin , age 88, passed away in Brady, Texas on Saturday, July 28th, 2018.

Family Visitation is planned for Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Robert-Massie Funeral Home, San Angelo, TX. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 10:00 am at Robert-Massie Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Keemydrick R. Mackey officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Belvedere Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Griffin was born on September 24, 1929 in San Angelo, Texas to Henry and Bertha (Graham) Holloway.

She lived in Fort McKavett, Texas, on the San Saba river, where she enjoyed fishing and feeding the wild turkeys out of her kitchen window. She was a strong woman and worked hard all of her young life to raise her kids. In the 50's and 60's, she worked at Dumond Plastics and the San Jacinto School cafeteria; in the late 60's she worked in the Regan school cafeteria and in the 70's worked in the John Glenn Jr. High Cafeteria, all in San Angelo, Texas...
She was an avid cook. She loved cooking for her families Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, with her Good Old Home Cooking recipes. We can attest to her superb pie making skills, as well as to her hot dinner rolls, that were sought by many people.

She was fond of garage sales and auctions and enjoyed riding around in the park, and loved looking at the ducks.

A survivor of three heart attacks and three different types of cancers. The last type of cancer, she was unable to fight it off.

She loved her children, good looking grandsons and granddaughter and all her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber "Hoot" Griffin; 3 children, Joy, Kathy and Calvin Miller and Great-Granddaughter, Krystal Green-Coates.
