Obituary for Hollis Earl Chandler

Hollis Earl Chandler left this earth for his Heavenly home on July 1st, 2018 in San Angelo after a short illness.

His service will be Wednesday, July 4th at Faith Baptist Church, Snyder Texas at 2pm. Nicky Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, July 3rd from 6-7pm at Miller family funeral home in Snyder Texas. There will be a grave side service in Canton Texas at Haven of Memories on Friday July 6th at 10am, Bro Dan Tarno will be officiating

Hollis was born on August 2, 1939 in Snyder Texas, to Samuel Hollis Chandler and Fannie Laura Chandler. He married the love of his life, Darlene Cantrell, on September 6th, 1960. They were married for 57 years. Hollis never met a stranger and if you knew him, you knew that you had a life long friend. He was a truck driver for decades, and he drove for Safeway for 25 years. After he retired, he worked at the courthouse in Snyder. Everybody there loved him and he loved them as well. He was a great man and a faithful Christian.

Hollis is survived by his wife, Darlene, daughter Darla Kay Bethune (Jimmy), Son Larry Alan Chandler (Tracy). Grand children, Jamie Parham, Austin Berry, McKenzie Chandler, Steven Chandler, Kirsten Jennings, Emily Bettinger. Great Grandkids, Jean and Hayden Parham, Keaton Mogg, Raelynn and Rustin Jennings, Garren Chandler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
