Obituary for Lucas Albidrez Campos

Lucas Campos , 54 passed away on June 14, 2018 in Abilene Texas after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services for Lucas will be Wednesday June 20, 2018 at St Ann’s Catholic Church 2005 Walnut in Colorado City, Texas with Fr. Michael Ugdebunam officiating, Holy Rosary will be on Tuesday, June 19 at 6 pm at the Miller Family Funeral home at 200 E. 37th Snyder, Texas. Interment will be at the Mitchell County Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday thru Tuesday during funeral home business hours.

He was born to Ramona and Guadalupe Campos on February 8, 1964. He is proceeded in death by his parents Ramona and Guadalupe Campos, his sister Adela Campos Morris, his paternal grandparents Concepcion and Lucas Campos, his maternal grandparents Mateo and Golla Alvarado, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a lifelong resident of Colorado City and attended Colorado Independent School District. He was an oilfield worker and also did carpentry work. He was a very kind and humble man that would do anything for anybody. His hobbies included being with his many friends, working on cars, helping out his family and making people laugh. He is survived by one brother Tony and wife Hilda Campos of Colorado City, his nieces Kimberly Deal and husband Trevor and their children Austin, Christian and Landon of Clyde; Lauren Valencia and husband Cory and their children Ezra and Ira of Baird; Amber Campos and Manny and their children Dominic and Cruz of San Angelo; his nephews Tony Campos Jr of Colorado City and John Campos of San Angelo; a lot of cousins, Aunts and Uncles and many friends.

An account has been set up at First Bank and Trust in Colorado City, Texas to help defray funeral expenses for the family. Account number 1101007928. A heartfelt appreciation to cousins Josie Ortegon and Janie Davila who had always been there for Luke and helped us facilitate the numerous tasks we were faced with during this difficult time.
