Obituary for Johnny Vasquez

Johnny Vasquez, age 66 of Snyder, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2017.

Services for Mr. Vasquez will be Friday, November 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Lowry officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family visitation for Mr. Vasquez will be Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Vasquez was born September 29, 1951 in Ozona, TX to Emma Vasquez. He married Hope Chavez on May 26, 1972 in Lamesa, TX. Johnny had a passion for not only boxing, but also coaching others to box. He coached the Snyder Boxing Club, along with the National Elite Olympic Boxing and the World Champion Boxing League. Mostly, he was a family man. He was a loving husband, father and Grandpa Johnny.

He is preceded in death by his mother, daughter Emma Vasquez.
