Condolence: Catania and family, Barbara and I send our love and prayers during this time of loss. I personally so greatly appreciate how you and Bro. McGuire answered the call to Snyder several years ago. I thank God for your faithfulness to our people in this good church. I know they are saddened by this as well. Alan was a real pastor. God bless you with his comfort and strength.

Condolence: Alan was always pretty quiet with a heart that reach millions of miles! He loved my daughter as if he were her actual father! I thank you Lord for allowing Alan to embrace and carry his love into our lives. My knowing the Cahill’s in my teenage years and having been embraced by Padda and Becky through Catania caring for my infant daughter to both becoming her Godparents our lives are so intertwined! God what an amazing plan you had! I have had the honor to walk along side many tragedies and triumphs. Thank you God for allowing them to walk through the same with me! I love all the family and extended family with all that is in me! My heart grieves the loss of Alan on this earth! Nana Net will keep loving and praying for your life now without Dad! And my dear Catania many forms of condolence are being sent to you my extraordinary friend!! I am weeping with you and for you! My prayers of sympathy and strength are continuous! I know the incredible love you had for each other. I’m here to listen, cry, laugh or just talk! My heart rejoices for Alan’s new HOME but grieves the one he left! With all my soul, I send you my love and prayers! Thank You Jesus for Alan and the legacy he leaves!8

Condolence: We were stunned to hear of Alan's sudden passing. I cried through Sunday worship thinking of Alan and another pastor (his funeral was Saturday) worshiping Jesus face-to-face. May God comfort you all. Praying for the family and friends and also for Snyder Church of the Nazarene.

Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to learn that a special man had died seemingly in the prime of his life of service. He served many like me through Hospice when my dear husband Bob was facing death as well as after Bob left this earth. May you, the family, find the comfort that he gave to me through your faith and the help of compassionate friends.

Sincerely,
Monette O'Day

Condolence: This completely took my breath away. No family member would know me and Alan would probably not have remembered my name. He came to the bedside many times of a very dear lady to me; she was like a mother to me and I a daughter to her. She passed in December of 2009. I had seen him on occasion since that time -- mostly at other funerals. We would speak and I would tell him AGAIN, how much his caring meant to me. When I mentioned where he visited my dear lady, he always remembered her and being there to visit. Oh my, the saying "Heaven gained another Angel," just does not say enough in tribute to this man of God.
